Why
the Name Studio 4:45 ?
4:45 p.m., is when someone always bursts
into the room that your working in and offers a crazy statement that involves a new small
project that must! go out before the end of the work day ( lol ). I now
know just how true that is. With that in mind, I
want to take this opportunity to thank someone for introducing me to
the world of computer graphics. Nat Dickerson, you are one of the
finest graphic designers I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
Your strict attention to detail, and willingness to teach will always
inspire me to do better. Thank you, for just being you.
I
started with a piece of scanner software, that allowed me to make
a nice little frame around a scanned image. I thought it was the
coolest thing on the planet since hand drawing a fairly good
resemblance of "Tippy". A charactor in an add in the T.V Guide that
could be drawn, and submitted to an art institute when I was a
kid. ( I liked the turtle better than the pirate). Everyone
else just thought I was strange getting all excited over a bland,
mismatched colored frame around a poorly scanned image. None the
less, from that point on I was hooked. I just had to learn more about
this computer program that would let me make images, and put them into
a image catalog and then scan them into a photo. Shortly thereafter, a
close friend named "Nat" introduced to Adobe Photoshop® and an
ASUS Dual Processor Motherboard. A
lot has sure changed since then as far as computer
graphics go. But one thing hasn't changed, and thats my
willingness to learn more every day. So with that said I'm
sitting here, in a dimly lit room, with my favorite gourmet blend
of java, impervious to the wee a.m hours. On a mission
to do what I can to give you a little of the joy I receive on a
daily basis through graphic design/illustration/ and digital imaging
Thats all for now, and thanks again for stopping by. "Bert'o"
